Who we serve · Business owners
Your business is your biggest asset. Your plan should know that.
Most plans treat the company as a line item. We treat it as the center of gravity.
The problem
Your net worth is one concentrated position: you.
You’ve spent years building something that pays for everything else…and yet your wealth plan probably ignores it. The portfolio gets managed as if the business doesn’t exist, the exit gets planned as if the portfolio doesn’t exist, and the family hears about both after the fact.
How Valla works
Business, balance sheet, and family as one system.
We understand the cash flow your company throws off, the risk it carries, the eventual transition, and what all of it means for the assets outside the business. Your liquid portfolio is built to do the opposite of your company: stable, protected, boring on purpose.
What you get
Specifically.
A single plan that connects business cash flow, personal goals, and family needs Concentration and liquidity strategy that admits most of your wealth is in the business Portfolios designed to buffer the downside—you can’t afford a bad year in both places Exit and succession thinking from the start, whether or not you ever sell Coordination with your CPA, attorney, and banker around one plan Fee terms and eligibility explained before you commit
Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask us. And the ones they don’t.
The one nobody asksWhy would I pay you 1% when I get 30% returns in my own company?
You should not pay us to compete with your business. Everything outside the business needs to do a job your company cannot: stay standing when the company has a bad year.
Your company is concentrated, illiquid, and has your name on the door. The money outside it should be boring on purpose.
The one nobody asksMy CPA, attorney, and banker all give me advice. Why do I need another voice?
You do not need another voice. You need one plan they are all working from. We hold the plan and make sure their advice adds up.
The one nobody asksI’m never selling. Does any of this apply to me?
Especially to you. The business still changes hands someday—to family, partners, or your estate. We plan for the transition you actually intend, including the one you do not like thinking about.
Most of my net worth is tied up in the company. Can you even help?
Yes. The plan starts with the business—what it earns, what it is worth, what it would take to get money out, and what happens if it cannot. Then we build outside assets, insurance, and liquidity around that reality.
The one nobody asksCan you keep my business and personal finances separate—and confidential?
Separate on paper, connected in the plan. We need to understand the company to plan the household, but we do not manage the company or share anything with anyone you have not named.
I don’t have time for this. How much of my time does it take?
Expect two or three working sessions to build the plan properly. After that, we run the checklist, you make decisions, and reviews are as short as you want them to be.
What does it cost?
The applicable fee schedule is provided before you commit. Fee terms, payment timing, and any qualified-client eligibility requirements are governed by the advisory agreement and Form ADV.
Who this is for
Owners and founders of closely held businesses, typically with $1.5M+ outside the company, who want a plan that finally includes the company.
Let’s build the plan around what you’ve actually built.
30 minutes. No pitch. We’ll tell you if we’re not the right fit.
