Who we serve · Newly single
A new chapter deserves a plan you fully understand.
By loss or by choice, you’re deciding alone for the first time. We’ll make sure you’re never guessing.
The problem
A stack of accounts and an advisor who talked to someone else.
After a divorce or the death of a spouse, the questions are overwhelming: Am I okay? What can I spend? What’s mine? Who do I trust? And you’re supposed to figure it out fast, while everything else in life is upside down.
How Valla works
We slow it down.
First, a clear and honest picture of what you have and what it can do for you—no jargon, no pressure to move anything. Then a plan built around the life you’re living now, every assumption explained, every decision yours.
What you get
Specifically.
A clear “am I okay?” answer, in numbers you understand, in the first conversation A living plan built for your life now, not the one planned for two Concierge help with the practical mess—consolidating, retitling, coordinating your attorney and CPA A portfolio designed so a bad market year doesn’t become a bad life year Fee terms and eligibility you can review before you decide No decisions rushed. Ever.
Frequently asked questions
The questions people ask us. And the ones they don’t.
The one nobody asksAm I going to be okay?
That is the first thing we answer, with numbers rather than reassurance. We look at what you have, what it costs to live the way you live, and how long the two line up. If you are not okay, you deserve to know early, while there are still good options.
The one nobody asksI don’t understand any of this. Will you make me feel stupid?
No. If we explain something and you do not follow, that is our failure, not yours. Ask again and we will say it differently.
The one nobody asksMy late spouse’s advisor keeps calling. Do I have to stay with them?
No. Those accounts are yours now, and you can move them, keep them, or split them. You do not owe anyone loyalty for a relationship that was never yours.
The one nobody asksHow fast do I need to make decisions?
Slower than everyone is telling you. We identify the few items with real deadlines—bills, account security, and urgent documents—and protect you from rushing the rest.
The one nobody asksAre you going to try to sell me something?
We do not sell products or earn commissions. If we think you should keep things exactly as they are for a year, we will say so.
Can you help with retitling, beneficiaries, and accounts I did not know existed?
Yes. We inventory everything, coordinate with your attorney and CPA, and handle the forms. You make the decisions; we do the homework.
My kids want to help—or take over. What do I do?
Decide the role you want them to have, and we will make it clear in the plan. You can keep them informed without giving them control; either way, you remain the client.
Who this is for
Recently widowed or divorced individuals with roughly $1.5M or more who want a partner, not a salesperson, for this next stretch.
Let’s start with one honest conversation.
30 minutes. No pitch. We’ll tell you if we’re not the right fit.
